Kunio and his friends battle in many historical events, representing historical characters like Guan Yu and Sun Quan. Conceptually, it's comparable to Downtown Special: Kunio-kun no Jidaigeki da yo Zenin Shūgō! from 1991. only in a different era. Additionally, things are more comical and frantic since they are fresh.
Three Kingdoms Next takes the crew from the events of its conclusion to the Battle of Wuzhang Plains, carrying on from the previous game. It has many new characters and, most importantly, a motorbike.
